Description Rounded crystal of Andalusite coated with silvery mica schist. If sawn and polished it will reveal a cross-shaped internal zoning known as Chiastolite. Ex. William P. Hinkley (author of Maine Mines and Minerals, Volume 2, Eastern Maine).
