Dense Epistilbite Growth
Dense Epistilbite Growth from Nasik District, Maharashtra, India
Collection Robert Lavinsky
Description A dense growth of lustrous Epistilbite crystals complete filling up a pocket in the country basalt. These clear, partially gemmy Epistilbites range up to about 2 cm in length, and the way they fill the pocket is really quite attractive. It is sparkly and bright; the luster is excellent for this species, one of the more rare zeolites from the Deccan plateau deposits. Ex. Charlie Key.
