Well-Formed Calomel Crystals
Well-Formed Calomel Crystals from Terlingua, Brewster Co., Texas
Collection Robert Lavinsky
Description Rich specimen composed of large, well-formed, complex crystals of Calomel with an adamantine to waxy luster, in a sub-parallel growth cluster 2.5 cm in maximum dimension on the main surface of the piece. A great toenail for the species with large crystals. This is old material from the early 1900s and is very rarely seen for sale on the market today. Most has sat exposed to sunlight and turned opaque and dark. This is the way it should be; an exceptional small miniature, of a great rarity.
Locality Terlingua, Brewster Co., Texas
