Description |
Deep colored Amethyst crystals known as "Cactus Quartz" because of the layer of small "spiky" crystal growth on the larger crystals. The crystals are up to 2.5 cm long with overgrowth of smaller 2-3 mm Amethyst crystals around the prism faces. This specimen was recovered ca.1998 and has excellent color for the locality. |
