Doubly Terminated Azurite Crystal
Doubly Terminated Azurite Crystal from Tsumeb Mine, Tsumeb, Otjikoto Region, Namibia
Collection Robert Lavinsky
Description Classic, chisel-point Azurite with superb luster and striations. This 3.1 cm crystal has great color and excellent blue "fire." Perhaps the most remarkable thing about this beauty is that it is doubly terminated, which is a rarity. There is some contacting along the front faces, but that is completely overshadowed by the fact that this Azurite sits beautifully on matrix, and the aesthetics are out of this world. It is like a textbook drawing!
