This gem is rarely seen in gem quality stones from anywhere in the world let alone in star gems like this. This stone is from Nepal and has a lovely light sapphire-blue color, but the most interesting aspect of the gem is the fact that it shows asterism in the form of a faint six-ray star when it is illuminated with a strong light. The star is very faint in the photos, and is simply easier to see in person. A great rare collector's stone. |
