The mineral trivia raffle is almost complete! This will be free and open to all. It will involve a six question quiz, which if answered correctly will allow you to be entered into a raffle to win 3 free minerals. We have all the programming set for this, and will be launching this to the public on January 1! Stay tuned...

We completed updating and adding photos to all the glossary terms starting with the letter "O". Though there aren't that many glossary terms starting with this later, most of them required accompanying pictures, more so then relatively then any other entry so far, so this is a good accomplishment!

The following two gemstones have been added as new entries into the gemstone section:

• Rhodochrosite
• Malachite

We added the gemstone Fluorite, finished the glossary terms starting with the letter "N", and added many new pictures to the mineral Galena.

Once we were working on Rutile a few weeks ago, we decided to also add Ilmenite, which has surpassed Rutile as being the most important ore of the metal titanium. We also finished editing and adding pictures to all the glossary terms that start with the letter "M".

We have added new entries for all the members of the Bauxite group:

• Bauxite
• Gibbsite
• Boehmite
• Diaspore

We have also created a gemstone page for Diaspore.

We have continued editing the glossary and adding pictures, and complete all terms starting with J, K, and L.
