Tungstates and Molybdates

The tungstates, also known as wolframates, are compounds of one or more metallic elements and the tungstate radical (WO4).
The molybdates are are compounds of one or more metallic elements and the molybdate radical (MoO
4).

The tungstates and molybdates are almost always categorized in one group. The minerals they contain are chemically similar to each other. These minerals are heavy, soft, and brittle.
