Tungstates and Molybdates

The tungstates, also known as wolframates, are compounds of one or more metallic elements and the tungstate radical (WO₄).
The molybdates are are compounds of one or more metallic elements and the molybdate radical (MoO₄).

The tungstates and molybdates are almost always categorized in one group. The minerals they contain are chemically similar to each other. These minerals are heavy, soft, and brittle.
