Minerals that are often mined for an impurity, (i.e. Galena is mined as an ore of silver, which occurs as an impurity) are also listed with that element, but are in smaller text and surrounded by parenthesis.

"Sort by chemical group" sorts minerals by intrinsic chemical properties, such as radioactive, hydrous, and basic.

Hydrous - minerals containing water (H2O)
Basic - minerals containing hydroxyl (OH)
Radioactive - minerals containing radioactive elements, such as uranium
