Hyalophane - Intermediary member of the Orthoclase-Celsian series. Hyalophane is a mixture of Orthoclase and Celsian, containing potassium and barium. It is usually transparent, and may occur in large crystals. The premier Hyalophane locality is Busovaca, Bosnia (former Yugoslavia). The chemical formula for Hyalophane is (Ba,K)Al1-2Si3-2O8. Hyalophane is scientifically recognized as a separate mineral species.
