Lonsdaleite - Rare, hexagonal polymorph of Diamond, believed to have formed when meteoric Graphite falls to earth. When this happened, great heat and stress transformed the Graphite into Diamond, but it retained Graphite's hexagonal crystal lattice. Lonsdaleite is currently found only in the famous Barringer Crater (also known as meteor crater) in Arizona.
