Staurolite twin - Form of penetration twinning where two monoclinic crystals form interpenetrating twins at 90º, forming a cross, as depicted in the figure below. Named after the mineral Staurolite, which most frequently exhibits this form of twinning. (Staurolite crystals may also twin at angles other than 90º, such as 60º.)
