Phosphorescence - The ability of some fluorescent minerals to keep on glowing for several seconds after the ultraviolet source has been removed. (The phosphoresce may cause the mineral to glow for only several seconds, but the phosphorescent effect really lasts much longer -- several seconds is only what the eye can perceive.
