Description Flower-shaped Cordierite sixling twin, known as Cerasite, in gray matrix. This is actually a pseudomorph of mica after the Cordierite. The Cerasite is more reflective than the surrounding matrix and is very distinct when illuminated from the right angle. The top crystal is a full-view, and bottom is zoomed into the crystal.
Locality Kameoka, Kyouto pref., Japan
