Yellow Cerussite Twins
Yellow Cerussite Twins from Monarch Mine, Prichard Creek, Shoshone County, Idaho
Collection Robert Lavinsky
Description This rare locality has produced very few specimens. This one happens to be gorgeous, by any standard, and can hold its own with more famous locales! Exquisitely perched on a bit of matrix are delicately formed cyclical twins, to 2 cm in length, of lustrous and translucent, pastel yellow Cerussite. Its possible that the yellow color may be from a film of Goethite. In any case this miniature is of competition quality. Bob Bartsch self-collected, and collection.
